A new chapter in the frozen food aisle is beginning with the launch of Tem Toa, the first frozen brand dedicated exclusively to Thai cuisine. Created to address a significant gap in the category, Tem Toa aims to bring authentic, restaurant-quality Thai meals to homes across America in just minutes. The brand will officially debut at Natural Products Expo West 2026 in Anaheim, California, before launching chainwide at Target stores nationwide starting April 5. Additional retail expansion, including placements at Whole Foods Market and Giant Eagle, is planned later this year.
Tem Toa is the newest addition to Deep Brands, a newly formed family of brands focused on elevating global cuisines in the frozen aisle. Deep Brands also includes Deep Indian Kitchen, currently the number one frozen Indian brand in the United States. With the introduction of Tem Toa, Deep Brands is extending its strategy of building single-cuisine, authenticity-driven brands that celebrate and preserve culinary traditions while making them more accessible to American consumers.
Thai cuisine has long been popular in the United States, ranking among the most searched and frequently ordered takeout options. Industry data shows Thai food as the seventh most ordered takeout cuisine in America and the third most searched cuisine online. Yet despite this demand, the frozen category has lacked a brand exclusively dedicated to Thai food. In 2025, nearly three-quarters of frozen Thai sales came from Pad Thai products offered by multi-cuisine brands, leaving the aisle without a focused, authentic Thai identity.
Tem Toa was designed to fill that white space. Its name translates to “Full Table,” reflecting a mission not only to serve meals but to create shared dining experiences centered around authentic flavors. The brand combines modern, digitally native branding with chef-driven recipes developed through rigorous culinary training and research.
Recipes were crafted by Deep Brands’ culinary team, whose backgrounds include training at the Culinary Institute of America and experience at Morimoto. Each dish is made from scratch using freshly ground spices and carefully sourced ingredients. Traditional rice noodles are imported directly from Thailand to preserve texture and authenticity, while sauces are prepared using time-intensive cooking techniques that mirror restaurant preparation.
The initial lineup includes four core entrées designed to represent beloved Thai staples:
Chicken Pad Thai features rice noodles, tender chicken, and vegetables tossed in a savory peanut sauce infused with sweet and citrusy notes of lemongrass.
Vegetable Pad Thai offers a plant-based take on the national favorite, combining tofu, vegetables, and rice noodles in a balanced peanut sauce with soy and lemon for brightness.
Green Curry Chicken delivers bold, earthy heat from green chilies blended with coconut milk, herbs, and spices, paired with jasmine rice.
Red Curry Chicken showcases red chili peppers and aromatic spices in a rich coconut-based sauce served alongside jasmine rice.
Each meal is positioned as a premium frozen option that replicates the Thai restaurant experience at home without requiring complex preparation or unfamiliar ingredients. The focus on single-cuisine authenticity differentiates Tem Toa from broader global or Asian-inspired frozen lines that typically offer limited Thai selections.
The launch at Expo West marks Tem Toa’s formal industry introduction, with the brand appearing alongside Deep Indian Kitchen at neighboring booths. The event provides an opportunity to showcase the new identity to retailers, distributors, and food industry professionals prior to its national retail rollout.
Deep Brands, established in 2026, was formed to bring together cuisine-specific brands under a unified philosophy: honoring culinary heritage while scaling accessibility. Each brand in its portfolio focuses exclusively on one cuisine, allowing for deeper storytelling, cultural education, and product authenticity. The company emphasizes scratch-made preparation methods, traditional recipes, and high-quality ingredient sourcing across its product lines.
Beyond its commercial mission, Deep Brands supports social impact initiatives through the Deepkiran Foundation, which provides educational access to underprivileged children in rural India. The parent company, Deep Foods Inc., is a third-generation family business founded in 1977 and has long specialized in global flavors.
Tem Toa’s launch reflects a broader trend in the frozen category, where consumers increasingly seek premium, globally inspired meals that combine convenience with authenticity. As interest in Thai cuisine continues to grow, the brand aims to redefine expectations of what frozen food can deliver—transforming the aisle from a space of compromise into one of culinary exploration.
With national distribution beginning at Target and additional retailers to follow, Tem Toa is positioned to introduce a new standard for Thai cuisine in the frozen aisle—one that prioritizes tradition, flavor integrity, and the communal spirit embodied in its name: a full table shared together.
