Valtteri Bottas Joins Tecovas as Global Brand Ambassador Ahead of the 2026 Formula 1 Season

Ten-time Grand Prix winner Valtteri Bottas partners with Austin-based Western brand Tecovas, blending motorsport precision with the spirit of the American West

AUSTIN, Texas, March 3, 2026 — Tecovas has announced that renowned Formula 1 driver Valtteri Bottas will serve as its global brand ambassador for 2026. The partnership brings together elite motorsport performance and Western craftsmanship, reflecting a shared appreciation for authenticity, resilience, and timeless style.

The collaboration arrives as anticipation builds for the upcoming Formula One season. As part of the partnership, Bottas will work closely with Tecovas across a range of initiatives during major American race weekends, beginning with the Miami Grand Prix later this year. Fans can expect exclusive collaborations, behind-the-scenes storytelling, and special events that bring together the worlds of racing and Western culture.

For Bottas, the partnership feels both natural and personal. The Finnish racing veteran has long expressed a fondness for Texas and its distinctive culture, a connection that began early in his Formula 1 career. One of his first major milestones came at the United States Grand Prix in Austin, where he secured his first Formula 1 podium. The moment left a lasting impression, strengthening his affinity for the city and its character.

“Austin has always held a special place for me — it’s where I scored my first F1 points, and honestly it’s one of the race weekends I look forward to most every year,” Bottas said while reflecting on the collaboration. “That’s why partnering with an Austin brand like Tecovas made so much sense. I love the vibe of the city and the straightforward, no-nonsense spirit of Texas.”

According to Bottas, his relationship with the brand began organically during the previous racing season. After meeting the Tecovas team while visiting Austin for the race weekend, he felt an immediate alignment with the brand’s values and craftsmanship.

“My relationship with Tecovas started naturally when I was in town for the race last season,” he explained. “I’m a big believer in finding good people who make great things. When I met the team at Tecovas, we just clicked. It feels like the perfect time to officially join the Tecovas family.”

The brand also sees the collaboration as a powerful fusion of two cultures that share similar ideals. Racing and the Western lifestyle may seem worlds apart at first glance, but both celebrate independence, skill, and a relentless pursuit of excellence.

“There’s a certain freedom that connects racing and the West — a respect for skill, resilience, and wide-open possibility,” said Samantha Fodrowski, Vice President of Brand Marketing at Tecovas. “Valtteri embodies that spirit. He brings incredible focus and discipline to his craft, but also a bold and unmistakable personality. That balance of performance and independence aligns perfectly with the modern West we represent.”

Founded in 2015, Tecovas has grown rapidly as one of the first digitally native Western brands. Based in Austin, the company has built its reputation around handcrafted boots, workwear, and apparel designed to bring traditional Western craftsmanship to contemporary consumers. Through its expanding retail footprint and strong online presence, Tecovas continues to introduce the spirit of the American West to a global audience.

For Bottas, whose career has included ten Grand Prix victories, 67 podium finishes, and 20 pole positions, the partnership marks an exciting new chapter both on and off the track. The Finnish driver was a central part of one of the most dominant periods in Formula 1 history, helping his team secure five consecutive FIA Formula One Constructors’ World Championships between 2017 and 2021 while finishing twice as runner-up in the World Drivers’ Championship.

Beyond racing, Bottas has cultivated a growing portfolio of personal interests and ventures. Known for his love of cycling and outdoor adventure, he has also co-founded lifestyle businesses, including the premium spirits brand Oath Gin. These pursuits reflect a broader lifestyle philosophy centered on exploration, craftsmanship, and authenticity—values that mirror the ethos of the Tecovas brand.

As the 2026 Formula 1 season approaches, the collaboration highlights an unexpected but compelling connection between global motorsport and Western heritage. From the roaring circuits of international race tracks to the rugged traditions of Texas culture, both worlds share a common spirit of independence and perseverance.

With Bottas stepping into a new era of his racing career and Tecovas continuing its rapid rise as a modern Western lifestyle brand, the partnership signals a meeting point between performance and tradition. Whether on the track or in the open landscapes that inspired Western culture, the message is clear: authenticity never goes out of style.
