Mistral AI Secures €1.7 Billion Series C Funding to Accelerate AI Innovation

Mistral AI, a leading AI technology company, announced the completion of a €1.7 billion Series C funding round at a post-money valuation of €11.7 billion. The capital infusion will support the company’s mission to push the boundaries of AI research, delivering advanced solutions to tackle complex technological challenges across strategic industries.

The funding round is led by ASML Holding NV, a global semiconductor equipment leader, establishing a strategic partnership aimed at integrating AI-driven solutions into ASML’s product offerings. Christophe Fouquet, CEO of ASML, stated: “ASML is proud to lead this investment and partner with Mistral AI. Together, we aim to generate tangible benefits for ASML customers through innovative AI-enabled products and solutions, and explore joint research opportunities to address future technological challenges.”

In addition to ASML, the round attracted participation from leading existing investors, including DST Global, Andreessen Horowitz, Bpifrance, General Catalyst, Index Ventures, Lightspeed, and NVIDIA. This collective support underscores the growing confidence in Mistral AI’s scientific and commercial vision.
