M&D Appoints Industry Veteran Tom Rizzi as Chief Executive Officer

Experienced industrial manufacturing and distribution leader to guide next phase of growth for diesel aftermarket specialist

HUMBLE, TX, UNITED STATES — M&D, a leading distributor and remanufacturer of Tier 1 diesel engine parts and components, has announced the appointment of Tom Rizzi as its Chief Executive Officer, effective January 1, 2026. With nearly five decades of experience serving the diesel aftermarket, M&D operates close to 50 branch locations across 20 U.S. states, as well as Mexico and Canada.

Rizzi brings decades of executive leadership experience in industrial manufacturing and distribution to M&D, positioning the company for continued expansion and innovation in a rapidly evolving aftermarket landscape. “I’m very excited about the start of this new journey,” said Rizzi. “M&D has been a trusted partner in the diesel aftermarket for more than 80 years.

With our in-house remanufacturing and rebuilding capabilities, extensive distribution network, branch-based service model, and growing digital platforms — all supported by an exceptional team — M&D is well positioned for sustained growth.” Rizzi emphasized the strength of M&D’s workforce as a defining competitive advantage. “I’ve been extremely impressed with each M&D employee I’ve met so far. Their knowledge and passion are evident, and that’s what truly makes M&D special.

I look forward to working alongside them to continue delivering a comprehensive, one-stop solution for our customers’ diesel engine needs.” Prior to joining this company, Rizzi served as Chief Executive Officer of OTR Engineered Solutions, a global designer, manufacturer, and distributor of tires, wheels, and tracks for off-road applications. During his tenure, he helped strengthen the company’s global footprint and operational capabilities.

Earlier in his career, Rizzi held the role of President and CEO at GHSP, where he led the Tier 1 supplier of electronic controls and smart pumps serving major passenger vehicle OEMs worldwide. His executive leadership background also includes senior roles at The Heico Companies, Barnes Group Inc., and Gerber Scientific Inc., where he gained extensive experience across engineering, manufacturing, and global distribution platforms.

Rizzi holds a bachelor’s degree in finance from the University of Connecticut and an MBA from Newport University. In addition to his corporate leadership responsibilities, he currently serves on the boards of Spectrum Industries and several nonprofit organizations, reflecting his commitment to governance and community engagement.

Rizzi officially begins his tenure at M&D during Heavy Duty Aftermarket Week (HDAW) 2026, the largest North American gathering of heavy-duty aftermarket professionals. M&D will be exhibiting at the event with a 2,000-square-foot booth showcasing more than 90 engine parts and components, including fuel injectors, turbochargers, inframe kits, and cylinder heads. The event will serve as an early platform for Rizzi to engage with customers, partners, and industry stakeholders.

M&D’s leadership transition reflects the company’s focus on long-term growth, operational excellence, and customer-centric solutions across the diesel aftermarket. With Rizzi at the helm, it aims to further strengthen its position as a trusted provider of mission-critical diesel engine components and services.
