L&A Secures U.S. Trademark for AgCeption® as Brand Expands Globally

Laudando & Associates (L&A) today announced that the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office (USPTO) has officially registered AgCeption® on the Principal Register (Reg. No. 7,950,234, Class 9). The registration, dated September 16, 2025, covers electronic plant and weed identification hardware and software for edge computing, reinforcing the company’s flagship, farmer-first perception platform.

“AgCeption® was built for the people doing the work—farmers, small OEMs, and integrators who’ve been shut out of enterprise AI,” said Chris Laudando, President of L&A. “Now that our brand mark is registered, we’re ready to accelerate new applications and deliver fair licensing agreements that include profit sharing for the ‘little guy.’”

Designed with the principle of AI with ROI, AgCeption® focuses on automation solutions that improve agricultural processes, reduce costs, and provide measurable returns. Unlike many AgTech firms that promise future insights, L&A’s platform delivers practical tools today—allowing farmers to solve immediate challenges while archiving crop lifecycle data for future monetization.

AgCeption® is structured as a modular tool suite, offering perception sensor integrations and retrofits that can enhance existing farm equipment and infrastructure. Powered by its proprietary ML pipeline and supported by AWS-hosted portals, the system enables growers and small manufacturers to build “unique-to-the-farm” models without requiring in-house AI expertise.

L&A distinguishes itself by offering stand-alone building blocks—edge devices, data pipelines, labeling tools, model training, deployment, telemetry, and MLOps—that can be adopted individually or as a full stack. Importantly, every licensing deal includes a profit-sharing mechanism, ensuring farmers, integrators, and OEMs benefit directly from shared data and models.

The expanding AgCeption® product family now includes:

  • Grain-o-Scope™ – phenotyping for corn, soybeans, and grains
  • Broomrape Detection – early mapping of parasitic weeds
  • Harvest Loss Monitoring – real-time loss tracking for optimization
  • Greenhouse Module – automation under glass
  • Bee2Bee™ Hive Sensor – colony monitoring for pollinators
  • Selective Harvest – maturity detection and 3D localization
  • Pathogen Detection System – food safety mapping
  • L&Aser™ Control Suite – supporting the firm’s patent-pending weeding platform

L&A is simultaneously preparing to expand its patent-pending L&Aser™ technology into Australia, further strengthening its position as a global AgTech innovator.

About Laudando & Associates (L&A):

Based in California, L&A develops modular perception and automation technologies to empower growers and small OEMs without enterprise-scale budgets. From greenhouse to field, the company delivers edge-ready solutions with measurable ROI and profit-sharing incentives.
