In response to reports that a woman died of an unusual blood clot after being vaccinated, Justin Trudeau said on Wednesday that AstraZeneca PLC’s COVID-19 vaccine is safe and that Canadians must have faith in it.
According to reports, Francine Boyer, 54, would be the first Canadian to die as a result of the AstraZeneca vaccine. During an interview, her spouse stated that she received a shot on April 9 and died on April 23 in a hospital where she had been treated for fatigue and migraines.
Trudeau, who received his first AstraZeneca vaccine on Friday, has stated that he believes in all vaccines, including AstraZeneca.
Trudeau also told a Halifax radio station that the risks of blood clots from taking COVID outweigh the relatively rare but significant risk of AstraZeneca side effects. But upon reports of blood clots leading to low white blood cells in a really small percentage of individuals, upwards of a hundred Countries in Europe immediately halted most of the vaccine. Numerous nations have reintroduced the shot.
Actually, confronted with a virulent third wave of the virus, multiple Canadian provinces have recently begun providing the AstraZeneca vaccine to adults over the age of 40.
