Jamie Ahdunko Appointed President of Bank of America Reno

Bank of America strengthens leadership in Reno with a focus on community growth and client engagement.

Bank of America has announced the appointment of Jamie Ahdunko as president of Bank of America Reno, succeeding Andrew Diedrichsen, who had led the market since 2019. Diedrichsen will continue to serve as Business Banking senior relationship manager, ensuring a smooth leadership transition while maintaining his close ties with the local business community.

In her new role, Ahdunko will lead the bank’s strategy in Reno, connecting clients, communities, and teammates to the full breadth of Bank of America’s services. She will oversee efforts to expand market share, strengthen community ties, and drive integration across the company’s eight lines of business.

“Throughout her career with Bank of America, Jamie has demonstrated exceptional leadership and an ability to build strong community and teammate relationships,” said Brian Moynihan, Bank of America’s chair and CEO. “She is well positioned to continue Andrew’s momentum and grow our presence in Reno while helping clients improve their financial lives.”

Ahdunko joined Bank of America

Ahdunko joined Bank of America in 2010 and has held several leadership roles across Consumer Banking. Most recently, she served as Preferred Banking strategic values initiatives manager, where she oversaw renovation and investment programs for financial centers and ATMs across the United States. Having been part of Reno’s leadership team for nearly a decade, she brings both experience and local insight to her new position.

Beyond her professional responsibilities, Ahdunko has long been active in community service. She is a member of the University of Nevada Alumni Association, has served on the boards of Junior Achievement of Northern Nevada and March of Dimes, and participates in the bank’s employee networks that foster inclusion and engagement.

Her predecessor, Andrew Diedrichsen, leaves behind a strong legacy. During his tenure as president, he expanded client relationships and helped cultivate the next generation of talent. Notably, he spearheaded a multi-year collaboration with the Dean’s Future Scholars program at the University of Nevada, Reno, underscoring the bank’s commitment to education and community development.

With Ahdunko’s appointment, Bank of America reinforces its commitment to responsible growth in Reno, ensuring that local businesses, families, and communities continue to benefit from the bank’s global expertise and resources.
