Bank AlJazira Becomes First in the Middle East to Deploy Diebold Nixdorf’s Latest Self-Service Software on Windows 11

Bank AlJazira will upgrade more than 400 DN Series® ATMs with Diebold Nixdorf’s newest self-service software platform, VCP-Lite 7, becoming the first bank in the Middle East — and the first globally — to implement the solution on Microsoft Windows 11 using the DDC protocol.

Bank AlJazira

The deployment is part of the Saudi bank’s accelerated digital transformation strategy and aims to improve performance, security, and customer experience across its expanding self-service network. The platform supports transactions in both Arabic and English, including NFC-enabled services, and caters to on-us and off-us customers.

Fahad Al Muteri, VP and Head of Retail Digital Banking at Bank AlJazira, said the rollout underscores the bank’s focus on future-ready infrastructure. “This milestone reflects the strength of our collaboration with trusted technology partners, including Alhamrani Universal. By upgrading our entire network to Diebold Nixdorf’s latest self-service systems and software, alongside the Windows 11 platform, we are enhancing security, performance and operational efficiency. This investment future-proofs our infrastructure until 2034 and ensures seamless, secure and modern experiences for our customers.”

The software introduces modern APIs and streamlined connectivity to external networks, enabling faster certification and compliance with the latest regulatory standards. With web extensions built in, it can unify the ATM user experience with the bank’s digital and mobile services.

Habib Hanna, Managing Director, Middle East at Diebold Nixdorf, said: “Our 7th-generation multivendor software and easy-to-service DN Series ATMs enable the bank to deliver turnkey functionality and advance its digital strategy. We’re helping position Bank AlJazira at the forefront of banking technology to meet evolving consumer needs.”

Alhamrani Universal, Diebold Nixdorf’s long-time partner in Saudi Arabia, is providing implementation and on-ground support to ensure the nationwide rollout proceeds seamlessly.

Diebold Nixdorf serves most of the world’s top financial institutions with integrated solutions that connect digital and physical banking channels. Bank AlJazira continues to strengthen its position as an innovation-focused financial leader in Saudi Arabia, with a growing emphasis on secure, accessible and digitally enhanced service delivery.
