Rosewood Foundation Awards HK$100,000 to Five Innovative Startups
The Rosewood Foundation, in partnership with the Hong Kong Federation of Youth Groups (HKFYG), recognized five startups at the 2025 Rosewood Foundation Entrepreneurship Award ceremony, each receiving HK$100,000 in scale-up funding. The event celebrated young entrepreneurs aged 18 to 35 for their innovative solutions advancing sustainability.
The winning startups include Environmental Sustainability Guardian, which developed biodegradable silica cleaning capsules; MotoNerv, an AI-powered video analytics platform; Sodaz, a beverage company upcycling surplus fruits; Elevatefoods, offering smart 3D food printing for personalized nutrition; and XOXO Beverages, creators of an automated cocktail-mixing system.

The awards provide recipients with business support, including mentorship, industry networking, and commercial collaboration opportunities with Rosewood Hotel Group. Mehvesh Mumtaz Ahmed, Rosewood Foundation Board Director and Rosewood Hotel Group Global Vice President of Impact and Sustainability, emphasized the importance of funding and mentorship in helping young innovators grow their businesses while driving positive social and environmental impact.
Guest of Honour the Hon. Kenneth Leung Yuk-wai, Vice-Chairman of the Youth Development Commission, joined Ahmed and Hsu Siu-man, HKFYG Executive Director, in engaging with participants and learning about their entrepreneurial journeys. Hsu highlighted the role of young entrepreneurs in driving social change and fostering sustainable development through creativity and innovation.
Founded in 1960, HKFYG is Hong Kong’s largest youth service organization, providing diverse services and programs to nearly six million participants annually. The Rosewood Foundation, a registered Hong Kong charity, supports initiatives that promote accessibility, equity, sustainability, and innovation, while empowering women and youth to reach their potential.
