Women Leaders in Energy Awarding Ceremony
HONG KONG, The Battery Show Asia celebrated the inaugural Women Leaders in Energy Awards on March 10, honoring 16 exceptional women who are shaping the energy landscape across Asia-Pacific. This landmark recognition highlights the pivotal role of female leaders in accelerating innovation, sustainability, and the transition to a cleaner, more resilient energy future.
The awards, presented on Asia’s premier platform for battery technology, energy storage, and electric vehicle (EV) innovation, were divided into two categories. The Energy Changemaker Award recognized eight established leaders making a significant impact on energy transition efforts. Meanwhile, the Energy Rising Star Award celebrated eight emerging talents poised to lead the next generation of energy innovation. Together, these awardees represent a broad cross-section of the energy ecosystem—from EV manufacturing and battery technology to energy storage, materials innovation, and clean energy infrastructure.
The awards underscore the importance of recognizing women whose contributions often go unnoticed, despite their critical influence on energy innovation and sustainability. By shining a spotlight on these trailblazers, The Battery Show Asia seeks to inspire more women to pursue careers in energy and emphasize the value of diverse perspectives in driving technological and industrial progress.
Lucas Tan, Event Director of The Battery Show Asia, stated: “Women are transforming the energy sector, yet their contributions are frequently behind the scenes. These awards celebrate their achievements and provide visibility to role models who are defining the energy transition. By highlighting these leaders, we aim to encourage more women to enter the sector and help the industry benefit from inclusive and diverse leadership.”
The Women Leaders in Energy Awards also provided a platform for recipients to engage with global industry decision-makers, share insights, and foster collaboration across the Asia-Pacific energy ecosystem. Attendees had the opportunity to exchange ideas with peers and industry leaders, strengthening networks essential for the adoption of sustainable energy solutions.
This recognition aligns with a broader movement to empower women across energy, demonstrating that leadership diversity is not only a matter of equity but also a driver of innovation, problem-solving, and resilience in the sector. Awardees are expected to continue influencing policy, advancing technology, and inspiring the next generation of energy innovators.
The Battery Show Asia is a leading international event dedicated to battery technology, energy storage solutions, and EV innovation. The Women Leaders in Energy Awards will become an annual fixture, highlighting women who are driving innovation and sustainability in the global energy sector. The event serves as a hub for manufacturers, engineers, policymakers, and innovators to collaborate and accelerate the transition to a sustainable energy future.
