UGREEN Unveils Next-Generation Thunderbolt™ 5 Docking Stations to Power the Future of Productivity

The new Maxidok lineup from UGREEN introduces high-bandwidth Thunderbolt™ 5 connectivity, advanced display capabilities, and expanded ports to support demanding modern workflows

LONDON, Global consumer electronics brand UGREEN has announced the launch of its next-generation Thunderbolt™ 5 docking stations for the European market, unveiling a new Maxidok product lineup designed to dramatically enhance desktop connectivity and productivity. Pre-orders for the devices opened on March 6, marking the brand’s latest step in advancing high-performance workspace solutions for professionals, creators, and power users.

As laptops become increasingly slim and portable, many users face a growing challenge: the reduction of built-in ports. At the same time, modern workflows demand faster data transfers, multiple high-resolution displays, and seamless connectivity with external storage and peripherals. UGREEN’s new Maxidok docking stations aim to bridge this gap, offering powerful expansion capabilities that transform compact laptops into fully equipped workstations.

The Maxidok series builds on Thunderbolt™ 5 technology, delivering significantly higher bandwidth and lower latency compared to previous generations of docking solutions. By leveraging the capabilities of Thunderbolt™ 5, the new lineup addresses performance bottlenecks commonly encountered in high-resolution workflows, particularly those involving 4K and 8K video editing, multi-device setups, and high-speed data transfers. The result is a docking solution designed to help users truly “max out” their productivity while maintaining a clean and efficient desktop environment.

At the top of the lineup is the flagship UGREEN Maxidok 17-in-1 Thunderbolt™ 5 Dock, a feature-rich hub built for professional environments where performance and versatility are critical. The dock integrates seventeen ports, covering a wide range of connectivity options including data transfer, video output, networking, storage expansion, and power delivery. With bandwidth reaching up to 120Gbps, the dock enables exceptionally fast data transfers and supports demanding creative workflows.

One of the standout features of the flagship model is its built-in M.2 SSD expansion capability. This allows users to open and edit large 4K video files or other high-resolution assets directly from the dock without relying on slower external drives or additional hardware setups. The dock also delivers up to 240W of total power, enabling users to charge laptops, smartphones, and other devices simultaneously while powering external displays.

Display performance is another major highlight. The 17-in-1 dock supports single 8K resolution at 60Hz or dual 6K displays at 60Hz for macOS systems, while Windows users can connect up to three independent displays. This makes the device particularly attractive for professionals who rely on multi-monitor environments for productivity, including designers, developers, and financial analysts.

Complementing the flagship model is the 10-in-1 Thunderbolt™ 5 desktop hub, which offers a more streamlined solution for users seeking high performance in a compact form factor. The hub includes dual Thunderbolt™ 5 ports, Gigabit Ethernet connectivity, and multiple display outputs, along with up to 140W total power delivery and 100W laptop charging. Designed to eliminate the need for multiple adapters, the device consolidates frequently used ports into a single, efficient docking solution.

UGREEN is also introducing a specialized 10-in-1 Thunderbolt™ 5 dock designed specifically for the Mac mini M4. Engineered to sit flush with the Mac mini chassis while maintaining proper airflow, the dock integrates seamlessly with Apple’s compact desktop system. The device supports native dual extended displays on macOS and delivers single 8K or dual 6K output without requiring third-party display drivers.

The Mac mini dock further enhances functionality with built-in M.2 SSD storage expansion, high-speed USB-A connectivity, SD and microSD 4.0 card readers, and an advanced cooling system. This hybrid cooling design combines an aluminium heatsink with intelligent fan control to maintain optimal performance during intensive workloads.

By integrating high-speed connectivity, multi-display performance, stable power delivery, and robust thermal engineering, UGREEN aims to position the Maxidok lineup as a significant upgrade for modern work environments. The docks are particularly well suited for demanding tasks such as high-resolution video editing, real-time 3D rendering, creative production workflows, immersive gaming setups, and multi-screen office workstations.

Pricing for the new lineup reflects its premium positioning. The flagship 17-in-1 Thunderbolt™ 5 dock is priced at €459.99 or £419.99, while the standard 10-in-1 model will retail at €299.99 or £249.99. Both products are currently available for pre-order through UGREEN’s official website, with wider availability scheduled to begin on March 24 via Amazon and other direct sales channels.

The Mac mini docking station will follow shortly after, with a planned release window in late April or early May.
