The US has made its new international travel system available to visitors

New guidelines for overseas tourists were issued on November 8th. To enter the United States, international visitors must be completely immunized. The new worldwide COVID-19 air travel policies contain exemptions for kids and new government contact tracing procedures.

Under the previous regulation, which was implemented in early 2020 to prevent the transmission of Covid-19, most non-US nationals were prohibited from visiting the UK, the 26 Schengen countries in Europe without border controls, Ireland, China, India, South Africa, Iran, and Brazil within the previous 14 days.

People who have already been vaccinated must produce proof of a negative COVID-19 test within 3 days before the flight, with some exceptions. Unvaccinated travelers must show proof of a test done within one day of departure.

Passengers would be required to present an “official source” certifying their vaccination status, and airlines will be forced to match the passenger’s name and date of birth to ensure they are the same person identified on the vaccination evidence.

Tourists under the age of 18 and those from countries with limited vaccine availability, such as those where less than 10% of the population has been vaccinated, will be excluded from the vaccination requirement but must promise to be vaccinated within 60 days, according to the government.

A pre-departure test is required for children aged 2 to 17. The test can be conducted three days ahead of time if the child is traveling with a fully vaccinated adult; however, if the child is traveling alone or with unvaccinated adults, the test must be taken one day before departure. Travelers must sign a vaccination statement, and those who provide incorrect information will face legal consequences.

According to the CDC, there are no exemptions to the vaccine mandates “for religious or other moral convictions.”

To aid with contact tracing, airlines will be forced to collect and retain contact details on passengers for 30 days.

The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) has said that it will accept vaccines that have been approved or authorized by the FDA, as well as vaccines that have been designated by the World Health Organization (WHO) as being suitable for emergency use.

Pfizer-Bio N Tech. Moderna. AstraZeneca/ Covishield. Janssen/J&J. BIBP/Sinopharm. and Sinovac are the names of all vaccinations that have been approved by the FDA (Food and Drug Administration). A few proofs of COVID-19 vaccination will be considered as proof of vaccination:

1. Verifiable documents (digital or paper), vaccination certificate with QR code, and digital passes via apps like UK NHS covid Pass and EU Digital covid Certificate.

2. Non-verifiable paper documents, such as CDC vaccination cards, or a printout of a COVID-19 vaccination record or certificate issued at the national or subnational level or by an authorized vaccine provider.

3. Digital records that are not verifiable, including a digital image of the immunization card, an approved source, such as a public health agency, government agency, or other authorized vaccine providers, or a mobile phone application without a QR code, can be used to download an immunization record or vaccination certificate.
