Peli Unveils 9730 Remote Area Lighting System, Redefining Portable Lighting for High-Risk Field Operations

New 4,800-lumen Remote Area Lighting System delivers extended runtime, enhanced safety, and generator-free performance for demanding professional environments

BARCELONA, Spain: Peli Products, a global leader in advanced protective and portable lighting solutions, has announced the launch of the Peli™ 9730 Remote Area Lighting System (RALS), a next-generation portable lighting solution engineered for professionals operating in the most challenging field conditions. Designed to combine power, portability, and safety, the 9730 RALS delivers 4,800 lumens of high-output illumination with more than 18 hours of continuous runtime, setting a new benchmark for reliable area lighting without reliance on fuel-powered generators.

Built for use across industrial, emergency response, defence, and law enforcement environment, the 9730 RALS addresses a critical need for dependable lighting in remote or high-risk locations. Firefighters, first responders, utility crews, and military personnel often work in low-visibility conditions where poor lighting can compromise safety and efficiency. The new system is designed to mitigate these risks while improving operational flexibility in the field.

The 9730 RALS represents a significant evolution of Peli’s established Remote Area Lighting System range. Compared to earlier models, it delivers a 1,500-lumen increase in output, extends runtime beyond 18 hours, and reduces overall weight by nearly 20 percent. Weighing just 8.3 kilograms, the system is notably lighter and more compact, making it easier to transport, deploy, and reposition during operations.

At the core of the system is a rechargeable battery design, eliminating the need for fuel, extension cables, or external generators. This generator-free approach reduces emissions, lowers operational costs, and creates a quieter, safer work environment—particularly critical during nighttime emergency responses, disaster recovery operations, or defence deployments.

By removing fuel logistics and mechanical maintenance requirements, the 9730 RALS helps teams remain focused on mission-critical tasks. Designed with versatility in mind, the lighting system features a removable light head that allows for multiple setup configurations, including tripod mounting to expand coverage across larger work areas.

A rear-facing puddle light enhances ground visibility behind the unit, helping to reduce trip hazards and improve situational awareness in dark or uneven terrain. These design elements directly address real-world safety concerns faced by professionals working under pressure.

Durability remains a defining feature of the Peli brand, and the 9730 RALS is no exception. The unit is IP-rated waterproof, ensuring reliable performance in rain, mud, dust, and harsh weather conditions. It is also RoHS and CE certified, reflecting Peli’s ongoing commitment to environmental responsibility, regulatory compliance, and long-term product reliability.

“With the 9730 RALS, we are taking portable lighting to a new level,” said Ebru Doyuran, Product Marketing Manager at Peli. “By combining longer runtime, lighter weight, and improved safety features, we are enabling professionals to work more efficiently, sustainably, and confidently wherever their mission takes them.”

The launch of the 9730 RALS underscores Peli’s continued investment in innovation that supports frontline professionals. From emergency services responding to roadside incidents to industrial crews working overnight shifts and defence teams operating in remote environments, the new system is designed to deliver dependable illumination when and where it matters most.

The Peli™ 9730 Remote Area Lighting System is now available globally. More information about specifications, applications, and availability can be found at www.peli.com.
