Emergency Rescue Flights for Shelter Pets Amid Wildfires
In response to the wildfires, over 80 pets, including 58 cats and 26 dogs, have been evacuated from Los Angeles shelters through emergency rescue flights. The Best Friends Animal Society, in partnership with Wings of Rescue, transported these animals to safety in Utah and Seattle to alleviate overcrowding in local shelters. These efforts ensure the well-being of pets displaced by the fires.
