Andrea Lucille Pooler Appointed Chief Operating Officer of Modani Jewels Group

Veteran jewelry industry leader brings more than 25 years of experience to oversee operations and strategic growth across Modani Jewels, Soham Diamonds, and S.N.J. Creations

Modani Jewels, Soham Diamonds, and S.N.J. Creations have announced the appointment of Andrea Lucille Pooler as Chief Operating Officer for the group’s three divisions. With more than two decades of experience in the global jewelry industry, Pooler steps into the role with a reputation for combining creative insight with strong operational leadership.

Her appointment comes at a time when the organization is expanding its global footprint and strengthening its operational structure across key markets. Pooler’s professional journey reflects an uncommon blend of artistry and business acumen, making her uniquely positioned to guide the company through its next phase of growth.

Pooler began her career at the bench as a jeweler and designer, gaining hands-on experience in the craftsmanship that defines fine jewelry. Over time, she expanded her professional scope by launching and managing her own retail jewelry store. This entrepreneurial venture gave her deep insight into customer preferences, product design, merchandising, and the day-to-day realities of running a successful retail business.

Her career later moved into larger operational roles, including senior leadership positions at one of the world’s largest B2C e-commerce jewelry brands. In that capacity, she oversaw critical functions such as production, logistics, customer success, and operational efficiency. Working within a high-volume environment allowed her to develop sophisticated systems for scaling jewelry businesses while maintaining quality and customer satisfaction.

Most recently, Pooler served as Principal Consultant at Hill & Co., where she led transformation and strategy initiatives for jewelry companies across the supply chain. Her consulting work covered manufacturers, wholesalers, retailers, and independent designers, addressing areas such as operational efficiency, financial planning, merchandising strategy, branding, technology integration, and team development. Through these projects, she helped organizations refine their processes, strengthen their business models, and position themselves for long-term success.

Beyond her corporate responsibilities, Pooler is widely recognized for her contributions to the broader jewelry community. She currently serves as Editor-in-Chief of The Source, the publication of the Community for Ethical Jewelry, and is also Chair-head of the Women’s Jewelry Association’s New York Metro Chapter. In addition, she volunteers as a resident jewelry appraiser for a hospice retail store and works as a business coach, guiding professionals and entrepreneurs within the industry.

A passionate advocate for mentorship, education, and collaboration, Pooler has built a strong reputation as a thought leader within the jewelry sector. She regularly contributes articles to industry publications and frequently speaks at conferences, trade shows, and professional gatherings. Her presentations have been featured at events such as JCK Las Vegas, international jewelry trade exhibitions, and programs organized by the U.S. Small Business Administration, as well as various entrepreneurship and networking forums.

Pooler will also be presenting two sessions at the upcoming JA New York show. The first session, titled “AI without the Overwhelm,” will explore practical ways jewelry businesses can integrate artificial intelligence into their operations. The second session, “Curate Less, Run Lean: Why Merchandising and Operations Must Move Together,” will focus on aligning merchandising strategies with operational efficiency.

Commenting on the appointment, CEO Sumit Modani expressed confidence in Pooler’s leadership and experience. He noted that her operational expertise and strategic perspective will be instrumental in supporting the group’s continued expansion.

“Modani Jewels is pleased to welcome Andrea Lucille Pooler as its new Chief Operating Officer, strengthening the company’s leadership team as we continue to scale operations and accelerate growth,” said Modani. “Her extensive experience in both operations and strategy will play a critical role in guiding Modani Jewels, Soham Diamonds, and S.N.J. Creations into their next chapter.”

Pooler shared her enthusiasm about joining the organization and working with its leadership team.

“I’m thrilled to join Sumit and the incredible team at Modani Jewels, Soham Diamonds, and S.N.J. Creations,” she said. “The company carries an inspiring legacy while also embracing a forward-looking vision that respects both tradition and innovation. I look forward to strengthening our global systems, scaling operations, and expanding our presence in key markets.”

Soham Diamonds, led by Sumit Modani, is a third-generation family enterprise known for its commitment to craftsmanship, innovation, and integrity. Over the years, the business has evolved from a traditional gemstone and diamond operation into a vertically integrated global jewelry organization. Today, its three core divisions—Modani Jewels, Soham Diamonds, and S.N.J. Creations—serve a wide network of retailers and wholesalers worldwide.

Headquartered in New York, the group operates across multiple international locations, including Ohio, Mumbai, Hong Kong, and Dubai. Through its integrated structure, the organization offers jewelry manufacturing, diamond and gemstone sourcing, and private-label design services to partners across the global jewelry industry.

With Pooler joining the leadership team, the company is poised to further strengthen its operational capabilities while continuing to build on its long-standing reputation for quality and innovation in the fine jewelry market.
