Amazon India has expanded its network with the addition of two more all-women delivery stations

When it comes to women’s empowerment, Amazon of India has created two all-women delivery stations in Kerala as part of an initiative to enhance women’s employment options. These two locations will join Amazon India’s existing all-women delivery centers in Chennai and Kadi, Gujarat.

The delivery stations will be run by Delivery Service Partners (DSPs), who will be responsible for employing over 50 women within the region. The establishment of these all-women delivery service stations is in keeping with Amazon India’s efforts to increase possibilities for women in the logistics business while also creating a diverse, equitable, and inclusive image.

The purpose of these stations is to provide opportunities for DSPs and associates to grow and work while also guaranteeing that shipments are delivered accurately and on time. At the two all-women stations that recently opened in Kerala, women manage and administer both the management and delivery associate duties.

All colleagues undergo training in several facets of the profession, particularly customer service, package handling, technology, and safety. The organization seeks to make the workplace a secure environment for women by implementing several initiatives, including raising awareness and developing various feedback methods, as well as a helpline number that employees can call for any support or assistance.

Prakash Rochlani, Director of Amazon India’s “Last Mile Operations,” said at the opening of these stations that the firm is committed to providing women with equal access to work, growth opportunities, and tools that allow them to widen their horizons. Thousands of women work at Amazon, playing vital positions in the company’s operations network and prospering in their careers. The opening of these two all-women delivery stations in Kerala is a continuation of our ongoing efforts to provide safe and rewarding possibilities for women, and the company remains committed to financially uplifting them.
