The partnership was officially unveiled at the G2E Asia expo in Macau, where both companies showcased integrated cash-handling and gaming solutions to industry stakeholders. Under the agreement, APE will distribute CountR’s automated cash redemption kiosks across Asian markets, with initial rollout plans targeting Southeast Asia.
CountR brings over two decades of experience in automated payment and cash-handling systems, with more than 10,000 installations globally across integrated resorts, cruise ships, and gaming floors. Its kiosks are designed to streamline casino floor operations by enabling fast redemption of tickets, chips, and cash, improving efficiency and user experience for operators and players alike.
For APE, the collaboration represents a broader repositioning strategy. The company is now building a diversified portfolio that includes electronic gaming machines, table game solutions such as playing cards and smart dealer tools, and advanced cash management systems powered by CountR technology.
“We are truly honored and excited to be the distributor for CountR across Asia,” said Maria Garcia, Executive Director and Sales Director at APE. “This collaboration allows us to offer a much broader range of solutions that address the full spectrum of casino operational needs and supports our expansion into new Asian markets.”
APE CEO Herman Ng said the company’s direction is shifting toward integrated solutions rather than standalone equipment supply. “Our focus is now on delivering complete gaming operation
ecosystems that improve efficiency, reduce costs, and enhance flexibility for operators of all sizes,” he noted.
CountR also highlighted the strategic importance of the partnership, with Regional Sales Manager Tamara Sawyer stating that Asia’s gaming market presents significant growth potential for advanced payment technologies and automation.
Founded in 2006 and listed in Hong Kong, APE is positioning itself to serve both large integrated resorts and smaller gaming operations with end-to-end solutions across the gaming value chain. The addition of CountR’s technology strengthens its move toward becoming a comprehensive service
provider in Asia’s evolving gaming and entertainment sector.
