The Hong Kong based energy technology company is recognized for nearly three decades of lithium ion innovation, global energy storage deployment, and its expanding role in industrial decarbonization across more than 20 countries
HONG KONG — TWS Technology Limited has been recognized at the 2026 HKCT Business Award, marking a major milestone in its 28 year journey as a global leader in lithium ion energy systems and large scale energy storage solutions. The award ceremony, held at the Ritz Carlton Hong Kong, celebrates organizations contributing to innovation, industrial transformation, and sustainable economic development across international markets.
The company received the Outstanding Portable Energy Product of the Year award, placing it among a select group of global innovators previously recognized for excellence in engineering and technology advancement. The recognition highlights the company’s expanding influence in the global transition toward cleaner, more efficient energy systems.
Founded in 1998, TWS Technology has developed into a multinational energy solutions provider specializing in lithium ion batteries, industrial power systems, and grid scale energy storage infrastructure. Over nearly three decades, the company has built a vertically integrated ecosystem that spans research, design, manufacturing, and global deployment.
Chairman and Chief Executive Officer Dr Raymond Leung has guided the company’s long term strategy with a focus on precision engineering and scalable energy innovation. Under his leadership, TWS Technology has evolved from a regional battery specialist into a global provider of advanced energy systems serving industrial, automotive, healthcare, consumer electronics, and infrastructure sectors.
At the core of the company’s operations is a network of six research and development centers located across Asia, North America, and Europe. These facilities enable continuous innovation in battery chemistry, energy density optimization, and thermal performance engineering. The company also operates five manufacturing bases across China, Indonesia, and Thailand, supporting localized production and global supply chain resilience.
This integrated structure allows TWS Technology to respond to regional energy demands while maintaining consistent quality standards across all markets. With a workforce of approximately 1800 professionals, the company continues to expand its technical capabilities and industrial reach.
TWS Technology operates through multiple specialized business units. Its Mobile Power Solutions division develops lithium ion systems for industrial equipment, automotive applications, automation systems, healthcare devices, and consumer electronics. These solutions range from standardized battery packs to fully customized energy architectures designed for high reliability environments.
Another key division, UltraXel, focuses on wide temperature lithium ion cell technology. These cells are engineered to operate in extreme environments ranging from minus 40 degrees Celsius to plus 85 degrees Celsius, making them suitable for defense systems, medical infrastructure, automotive electronics, and remote industrial applications where stability and safety are critical.
In the consumer and robotics segment, the company’s 3C Battery Solutions division powers next generation devices including robotic systems, cordless appliances, and smart consumer electronics. By offering modular reference designs and scalable architectures, the division helps manufacturers reduce development cycles while maintaining performance consistency.
TWS Technology has also expanded into outdoor and off grid power systems through its Arkpax brand. The brand introduced one of the industry’s first IP67 rated portable energy storage systems, designed for harsh environments including heavy rain, dust exposure, and rugged terrain. This product line supports both recreational and professional outdoor energy needs.
The company’s energy storage systems division represents one of its largest growth areas. TWS ESS delivers utility scale battery storage solutions for commercial, industrial, and grid applications. These systems are deployed globally in projects ranging from large factory peak shaving installations in China to renewable energy integration projects in Japan, the United States, and Europe.
Notable installations include multi hundred megawatt hour systems supporting metallurgical facilities, industrial plants, and remote infrastructure. In high altitude regions such as Tibet, TWS energy systems have demonstrated long term operational stability under extreme climatic conditions, reinforcing their durability and engineering reliability.
International deployments also include solar hybrid systems in Japan, microgrid projects in the United States, and industrial applications across Africa and Europe. These projects highlight the adaptability of TWS solutions across different regulatory environments and energy infrastructures.
Sustainability remains a central pillar of the company’s strategy. Several of its production facilities have been designated as national green factories, reflecting compliance with international environmental and energy efficiency standards. Certifications such as ISO 14064 and ISO 50001 further validate its commitment to emissions reduction and responsible manufacturing practices.
The company has also integrated renewable energy systems into its operations, including solar powered infrastructure and energy efficient factory designs. These initiatives are part of a broader effort to align industrial growth with global decarbonization goals.
TWS Technology stated that its long term mission is to support global energy transition through innovation, system integration, and sustainable manufacturing. The company continues to invest in next generation battery technologies and large scale energy systems designed to support future industrial and urban energy demands.
With its latest recognition at the HKCT Business Award, TWS Technology reinforces its position as a key player in the global energy transformation landscape, bridging advanced engineering with sustainable industrial development across multiple continents.
